DESCRIPTION:Join the Perryman Community for a light breakfast followed by a community work session to save trees in the Forest Green Lake Preserve. \nFeeling pent-up energy? Bring it to the forest and channel it into a mission that matters. Join us for a hands-on effort to hack\, slash\, and clear invasive vines strangling Perryman’s natural beauty. Together\, we’ll take down aggressive invaders like English Ivy\, Bittersweet\, and Honeysuckle—while learning to spot and protect natives like Poison Ivy\, Native Grape\, and Virginia Creeper. \nThis event in being held in partnership with the Harford Climate Action Group and led by Will Graham. Harford County Climate Action Group is working to get Harford County to take action on this very serious issue. If left unchecked\, these invasive vines will completely decimate our forests. \nThis isn’t just cleanup—it’s combat. Let’s cut these vines down to size and give our forests room to breathe again. \nWhen & Where: \n\nDATE: Saturday\, March 1\, 2025\nTIME: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Donuts\, coffee and water will be available starting at 9:45AM.
