I am honored to have earned the recommendation and support of 3P – Protect Perryman Peninsula. Like the Peninsula, much of District A is overburdened and underserved, so I am acutely aware of the damage done and work that is required to right the ship.
Harford County deserves leadership that puts people, neighborhoods, and long-term sustainability first. I support the mission of 3P – Protect Perryman Peninsula because our communities have carried the burden of environmental and infrastructure challenges for too long. We must reverse patterns of environmental and racial injustice by ensuring that future growth is guided by transparency, accountability, and respect for the families who already call this area home. Development should strengthen the community, not displace it or diminish its quality of life.
I believe in community-centered planning that invests in safe roads, resilient infrastructure, public safety, and expanded access to parks, waterfronts, and recreational opportunities. At the same time, we should honor the historic contributions of the Perryman Peninsula, and the rest of the Route 40 Corridor, and preserve the character that makes these communities unique. Economic development remains important, but it must be sustainable, responsible, and aligned with the needs of residents, small businesses, and working families who already call this place home.
As a member of the Harford County Council, I will collaborate with residents, advocacy groups, local businesses, and regional partners to build policies that are proactive instead of reactive. That means codifying smart public policy, improving public engagement in the planning process, and ensuring that the voices of our residents are heard before major decisions are made – not after.
