I am proud to earn the recommendation of 3P. I am a traditional conservative who believes in preserving open and green space, strengthening infrastructure, safeguarding natural resources, and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in decisions affecting their communities. Government is at its best when there is transparency and the voice of the people can be heard! The current Harford County Council operates as if citizens are an afterthought or a nuisance. The next council must put residents at the forefront of its policies — from evaluating budget items, land use issues, and public safety. This is particularly true because Governor Moore and the state legislature pose a threat to Harford County’s ability to decide these issues for ourselves. Harford’s affordability, public safety, low tax rate, budget surplus, and quality of life will be the priorities I think about on the council.
Harford County deserves leadership that puts people, neighborhoods, and long-term sustainability first. I believe growth decisions must reflect infrastructure capacity, environmental conditions, and community input, while anticipating future needs and challenges. Development should strengthen existing communities and encourage homeownership rather than displace residents or diminish quality of life. The 2026 Master Land Use Plan must prioritize safe roads, resilient infrastructure, public safety, expanded parks and waterfront access, and the historic character and vitality of our neighborhoods.
I am committed to proactive policies that promote sustainable economic growth while keeping development decisions at the local level. As a member of the Harford County Council, I will fight to preserve local control and oppose any efforts by Annapolis to pre-empt community authority over high-density housing, high-intensity industrial uses, and other forms of overdevelopment. Thank you 3P for the principles you bring to this discussion and thank you to the residents and voters of Harford County for your consideration.
