Local Artist Raises $1,500 to Protect Perryman Peninsula

On Monday, July 18, 2022 Jackson Mezan, 16, presented Greg LaCour of 3P with a check for $1,500. The money was collected at a silent auction of 2 of Mezan’s wooden Bush River maps in early July. The winning bidders were Eileen and Harry Webster, and Ellen and Joe Cianelli.

Mezan designed and then laser engraved the map. Jackson said, “I’m glad I can use my skills for good in my community.” Eileen Webster, a winning bidder, said “We love the Bush River map. It is even more special because it was made by a lifelong Bush River rat.” Jackson said he would be glad to take preorders for other Bush River maps, with all the proceeds going to 3P’s fundraising efforts.

Thank you to the Websters, Cianellis, and Jackson for your donations.
